I created one original illustration for each song on Temple Songs—a visual companion to the music, plus two extra pieces. This particular piece symbolizes the “temple” in the “Temple of Bloom” studio where I made the album and this artwork.
Limited series of 13 original illustration-collages. Each piece is approximately 9” x 9”, made with joss paper, India ink, and gouache, and is signed and dated. On the back of this piece, I’ve handwritten my thoughts about the importance of having a room of one’s own to work in (my “temple” is my room of my own). This temple image appears throughout the album artwork and the handmade songbook.
